Infants (all babies/children under 3 years) must travel with an adult parent or guardian over the age of 18. For safety reasons, each adult may only accompany a maximum of one infant.
If you want your baby / infant to travel in a car seat or capsule you must book an additional seat using the Child or Standard fare.
Infants travel free of charge if they are carried on the adult's lap (seats are not allocated to infant fares).
Please note that InterCity does not provide child seats and cannot guarantee buses will be equipped with seatbelts. If you are traveling with a child in a carseat or booster seat, and the bus you travel on does not have seat belts fitted (or the seats with belts equipped are occupied), we can either transfer your unused ticket to another service at no extra charge or offer a full refund.
Alternately you are more than welcome to put the car seat/booster seat in the undercarriage and carry the infant or child on your knee.
If you are travelling with a baby you may also take a collapsible pushchair or carrycot and one extra piece of luggage.
